Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas time at the Hamilton house! It's Christmas time at the Hamilton house! (Okay, so "Hamilton House" doesn't work as well as "Howitt House" or "Camp Peniel" but whatever... It IS Christmas time at the Hamilton House!)

It was a wonderful Christmas. The scrapbook pages that I made for my family and framed went over really well, so I was happy about that. I got some pretty cool stuff, too! I got a new stereo from Nana with a 5-disc changer, so that was pretty sweet! I also got some new clothes, a brown pea coat, some books that I really wanted, and some new make-up. It was pretty awesome!

I also took some time before turkey to play with............. MY LITE BRITE!!! Here's what I made!

Yup, it's a fireworks show! Cool, huh! I think so. :) Yay for Christmas! And tomorrow it's my birthday! Woohoo! Party! And by party, I mean turkey sandwiches and packing for WC. lol

Anyways, what I really want to write about is how struck I am with the real meaning of Christmas this year. I think seeing "The Nativity Story" really opened my eyes to what really happened on Christmas so many years ago. It really showed the relationship between Mary and Joseph and the conditions that Jesus was born in. It was amazing. I wish I could better describe it, but I can't. All I know is that when I read the story in Luke 2 to my family this morning, something I've done for as long as I can remember, it meant a lot more to me than it did before. So, I would like to say thank you to my friends and family for the beautiful gifts that were given this year, but even more so, I would like to say thank you to Jesus for being willing to come to Earth in the most humblest of conditions just so that I would have hope for a future. Thank you, Lord.
