Belly Dance
Dance class night was not as much fun as the previous ones. Our instructor is going away for a few weeks, so the girl who is going to be subbing for her came to the class to see where we were at. Her name is Jen, and she is the VP of Dal Dance. She is also, as Christina put it, "an extraordinary dancer". Jen has a flat stomach. Jen can do all the moves and look good. Jen is perfect. *sigh* It made me feel second rate... not like it was a fun, recreational class for the purpose of getting abs and picking up a new form of dance. *sigh* I even had a hip scarf that Christina lent me for the class. It didn't help. I wanted to leave long before it was over. We did learn a cool choreography to a violin piece... I liked that part... Mostly because I already knew how to arabesque from ballet...
My time out by the Wickwire reading in the beautiful sunshine was great, though.... even if I did almost get hit in the head with a soccer ball and had interesting comments made to me by the men's hockey team, who were out running a few laps.
Tonight, I am off to Marie's to watch a move and eat some potatoe skins. I think I may stay the night.
