The Edge
This weekend was the Campus for Christ Edge Retreat. It was good. It wasn't like a blast or anything... not the funnest weekend I've ever had, but it was really good for me spiritually, and that was the point of it anyway. Not that I didn't have fun! lol I definitely did. It just wasn't like a whole weekend of crazy fun. But, like I said, spiritually, it was really good. It was good to have "God time" set aside for me, and it was good to worship with others in the sessions. Some major decisions happened this weekend:
1. I'm going to winter conference in Toronto. I'm registered, and my airplane tickets are booked. Mum got my return home on points, and we've bought my ticket there through West Jet. Hopefully, the times are okay! haha I'm excited to go. I think I'm going to try to raise some money through support, but my OTHER decision affects that...
2. I'm going to Scotland for spring break! Well, at least, I'm thinking about it... There's a missions trip through C4C happening there during spring break, and I'd really like to go on it. That's going to take a lot of support raising, I imagine! The costs aren't in yet, so we'll have to wait and see, but I'd really like to go. I have no idea why... It was just as soon as I found out there was a Scotland project, I REALLY felt that I was supposed to go on it. So, if you think of it, pray about it for me!
Overall, it was a good weekend... a bit.. er, a LOT chilly... freezing may be a better word, but it was good. I got to get to know some new people too, so that was awesome. I'm excited for C4C this year. I'm glad I'm getting more involved! And now... it's onto studying for my Oceanography midterm! Ugh...
***DISCLAIMER!!! The mention of "Sven the Sin Vagon" in my previous post is a line from "Grease". It does not mean in any way, shape, or form that there was sinning going on in my wagon! haha***
