The Great Outdoors
The past few days have been BEAUTIFUL! I swear, I am in super mode! I'm happy all the time, and I've gone running... The sunshine is glorious. I love it. I need it. I adore being outside. I think I had forgotten that over the winter, but since the sun has come out, I have been craving the outside. I've gone for a walk yesterday and today wearing just jeans a t-shirt! NO JACKETS, GUYS!!! This is amazing!
I was in the Valley today helping my Nana move, and we went out to check out the cottage. It was glorious. I followed my traditional "first visit to the cottage" routine by skipping out on going right inside and running to the bank to see the water and the beach. I got so caught up in it all that I managed to miss going inside all together and got honked at to come back up the bank and leave. haha I did dip my feet in the water, and it really wasn't that bad... I mean it was cold... but not unbearable. I'd wade around in it for sure, and I would have if I hadn't been wearing jeans and a sweater. I did climb out on the tree that dangles over the water, though, and I laid there for a bit. I wish I had pictures! There's some on Peter's Super Phone, so maybe I will have one to add to this post sometime soon. We'll see.
Anyways, something I realized while we were driving towards the cottage, passing farm after farm, horse after horse... I NEED TO GO RIDING. I need it. I can't live without it. At least, that's what it feels like... BUT I found out that Danielle (my step-sister... ish.. sort of?)'s husband TRAINS HORSES in Bridgewater, so I may be able to go soon! HOORAY! However, before this hit me, I made a decision... Well, sort of. This summer, when (if?) I find a job, I'm going to put aside money so that I can start taking riding lessons again. I just miss it so much. I need to get back in to it... But then... if I do riding lessons, I won't be able to afford ballet classes at Halifax Dance... so I'm really not sure what to do. I guess I have to decide... but which is my bigger passion? Horses or dance? Ahhh I don't know! Votes, anyone?
**Lessons Learned Recently**
1. Anti-glare on the glasses would've been handy. Learned this tonight while driving after dark.
2. Javex works.
3. I know someone AWESOME! hahaha
4. Don't but Visine in your eyes when your contacts are in. You won't be able to see. It sucks.
**Note**
A Knight's Tale should be required viewing for all men. ALL MEN! And they should also memorize the following excerpt from When Harry Met Sally:
I love that you get cold when it's 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend the day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.
